interesting from a non indigenous white australian perspective who was educated in a government school mid 60s to mid 70s.Answered a lot of questions for me as I had friends in highschool who were indigenous and it has only been in the last 15 or so years that i have learnt of australias true history....not what i was taught in history at highschool.I find it sad that it has taken till now to learn the truth and it is something that I find so very very interesting and also some of this i find disturbing(massacres etc)(stolen generation)Ironically one of my indigenous friends from 40years ago ive started communicating with on social media...I now understand through reading books etc what she has physically had to deal with in our lifetime.I do hope I see in my lifetime education provided to all australian about the 1st australians and it is embraced and these anscestors of 1st australians recieve the respect that they truly deserve.

This course highlighted the journey of our indigenous Australians throughout the years following initial British rule. Extremely informative.

A great foundations courses. Small typo on the bottom of this section below the word 'one' is used rather than 'on'. (hope this helps). There are many negative myths about Indigenous Australians. It is important to understand that if these myths go unchallenged, it inhibits communication. Some common myths have been, Indigenous people are lazy, they don’t work for a living, they get special treatment, they just need to move on and the list goes one.

Great introduction and setting of understanding and expectation. Engaging and informative

A thought provoking and sincere reflection of the history of Australai First Nations people and the impact that colonisation has had on them. A very enlightening learning process for me ......quite quite sickening in some respects.

I learnt so much from this course. Going to school in the 70's and 80's I learnt nothing of this history. And as an Adult am sad to say I didn't peruse any knowledge just knew it was a bad history but not really what happened to the indigenous people and there culture . With this course I learnt the real depth of destruction to the Indigenous people and there culture and how much change and recognition still needs to happen from all Australians to embrace and nurture the Indigenous people and to let there history be know to enable real recognition and change. This course has enable me the desire to continue with learning and search and to promote an Indigenous Cultural Awareness within my work place. And to become involved with change in what ever capacity I can.

I thought that this course was really well thought out and structured. It reinforced a lot of what I knew and felt but also taught me much that I didn't know. After having completed the course I feel like I have some more tools at my disposal to help my own understanding of indigenous cultures and being able to support others on their own path towards cultural awareness and reconciliation. Courses like these help to spread the word that true reconciliation will have huge benefits for everyone in our society and a deeper understanding of culture is a true step towards that outcome.

Very interesting, this should be taught in all schools, so that the children of today know the true history of Australia Indigenous First people, and all the struggles they have faced.

I just wanted to take the time to let you know that I loved every minute I read and watched about this course, thank you so much for putting this together and providing me more understanding about Indigenous culture.

Although I had learned about Indigenous history in primary and high school, it was never with this much depth or honesty. I found some components to be emotionally evocative, but this added to the engaging nature of this course.
