The Journey

YOUR MOB Indigenous Consulting was born in 2013. Over this period of time, it was identified that most organisations in Australia were not culturally aware. They all had common barriers that they were working through (time, money, limited resources) and did not know who to approach to help them with their cultural awareness problems. Briefly after, YOUR MOB's face-to-face cultural awareness courses were put onto an online platform called YOUR MOB LEARNING

Positive and insightful. This course demonstrates the history and how we as individuals can learn and work with Aboriginal people to provide a holistic approach for future generations

Not growing up in Australia, I took my time through the course and learnt HEAPS about the Indigenous people of Australia. I like that it was simple and easy to understand, and I loved the detail. I am definitely referring others to these courses

This course was well presented using a variety of styles, text, videos & images. It was well organised into historical contexts & modern issues to take the learner of a journey of understanding & empathy. I was able to revisit many stories such as the Freedom Rides and was given even more wonderful images and insights to expand my previous experiences.

I found this course very useful and informative. It was easy to navigate around the site and the information is a must do and very important for anyone who is working with Aboriginal people or working in remote communities.

This course was intense, informative and worth every dime. I have learnt so much from it and feel more connected to the beautiful custodians of this country. The videos, history lessons, articles and narrative depicts the struggles of the past and the need for reforms together as a nation. This sort of a training should be made mandatory from school level to all the way up to government bodies. Keep it up and looking forward to the next course. Kudos!

Very interesting!

The text is presented in a succinct and unbiased way. As an awareness course it is informative and relevant, and an important first step in developing a greater respect and understanding of the culture of our First Peoples. This is an excellent way to begin the Reconciliation journey for any school or organisation.

I have just completed this course and found it easy and uncomplicated to use. I identify as Aboriginal, and was pleased to see that this content was delivered in a respectful manner, hitting all the hard topics with honesty and insight, but without the malice or blame that it is so often delivered with. I am proud of my culture and I feel that this will enable many Aboriginal, Torres Strait Island Peoples and Western cultures to be open to reconciliation and unity.
